type two diabetes is usually what onset?

Does anyone have some suggestions for easy snacks or healthy meals. I’ve cut the sugar out and watch carbs but would like some different ideas on what to eat. Thank You

We just found out my 2 y/o, who will be 3 in December, has type 1 diabetes after her sugar was over 1,000 in bloodwork done for something completely different. We’ve spent 3 nights in the hospital and now we are at home managing it ourselves. I’m still not really over the initial shock but we are dealing with it and she is doing okay. Any advice or help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Especially snack suggestions. She asks for food constantly, like she is starving. It makes me feel horrible that I can’t just feed her.

boarderline or onset type 2 diabetes?

how did you get diagnosed?
was it it difficult or easy why
what were your symptoms if any

Slow onset type 1 diabetes…?

I’ve just been told my c-peptide-antibody-whatever test show that im progressing towards type 1 diabetes. My doctor wants to put me on low dose of insulin right away to help preserve my insulin producing cells but im doubtful this would have any impact. I’ve been monitoring my glucose and its been normal, even low. Does anyone have any experiences/ thoughts? Please provide sources if possible. Would love to hear from ppl in similar situation, its all a bit daunting :(
but slow onset it seems like such a new thing that I’m not convinced my doctor is fully informed about it. And if Im fine now, why start injections so soon? I want to avoid as long as possible :( it could take years to become type 1 … mybe i should just suck it up and do what he tells me …
I live in Australia, so not sure bout the pharmaceutical thing, I’m hoping medicare covers most or at least some of the cost. He did do a A1c which was normal but im not sure that means much since its just an average; I could of been swinging between 3 and 11 which would give me an average of 5ish which is normal
