We are back! Elgin Park Secondarys Cyclebetes Spin-A-Thon 2010 On June 2nd 2010, Cyclebetes, an extraordinary fundraising event, will be taking place at Elgin Park Secondary from 8 am to 8 pm. Organized by a small group of grade 11 and 12 students, this 12 hour Spin-A-Thon will see teams of up to 12 riders, riding stationary bikes to increase awareness about Type 1 Diabetes and raise money for The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Currently there are 8 students at Elgin Park who have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

I’m scheduling a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, but I just want to ease my troubled mind tonight.

My symptoms are:
-Always Thirsty
-Extremely Tired
-Loss of Appetite
-Tingling in fingers and toes
-Problems concentrating

My dad was diagnosed with diabetes last year. I’m currently on 100 mg of Zoloft, but these aren’t side effects.
