What’s a good alcoholic beverage fo me?
I’m in my 30′s, so I’ve drank before. I’m going to a birthday party that involves about 10 of us, a limo, and several stops at several drinking establishments. When I drink beer, it feels good for awhile, but then it gets me real tired, and I feel bloated and extremely fatigued the next morning; when I drink sweet, mixed drinks, they get me intoxicated quicker, but the sugar content in them makes me thirsty (due to elevated blood sugar) and they give me terrible hangovers. Here’s my question: What’s a good drink that will make me feel good pretty quickly, give me excellent stamina (so I won’t fall asleep in the limo half-way thru the party), and won’t give me a terrible hangover?
To one responder: I would plan on getting lots of rest before the party; problem is…i’m a paramedic and I work a 24 hour shift right before the party. Not good…but i’ve been planning to go for months.

jack daniels + diet coke
try a dry or medium white wine and drink plenty of water or lemonade before going to bed
jim bean and dite rite
Yagerbombs!
It’s red bull and yager so it will give you energy while getting you drunker. Avoid the hangover by drinking a big glass of water before bed and getting plenty of rest.
Drink shots and then drink a soda or glass of water in between shots. I reccomend Oatmeal cookies (goldschlager and baileys)
There are some new drinks that contain both alcohol and caffeine. The problem is that you may have trouble falling asleep when you want to after drinking these. You should probably stop drinking these two hours before you plan on going to bed so that the caffeine does not keep you awake. You can switch to a non-caffinated drink for the last two hours if you must continue drinking.
Maker’s Mark + Diet Coke
Try a Black Russian, vodka (diet) cola with a shot of Tia Maria.
A Long Island Iced Tea… but make sure it has ice in it… It’s sweet, but not too sweet. If you want to make sure you stay awake, switch Coke out with Mountain Dew.
Try a Singapore Sling, tall drink not too strong and you’ll find it to be very tasty, something that you can sip over a long period of time.
You don’t have to drink at every stop. When I’ve been on a long drinking escapade, I make sure to get a lot of sleep the night before. During the day have a red bull if you are getting sleepy. I think when you go out for a day like that you can pretty much guarantee a hangover. Party on!
well i’m 14 so how would i know? so i heard that sex on the beach is a good drink try that i would if i were u ! just drink plain old beer like miller light its good
KAMAKAZIES RULE! You only need vodka, lemex, and lime juice and u r soooo good to go! Make sure they r all chilled when u leave! Like a 3/4 shot of vodka with a splash of lime juice and a splash of lemex and DAMN! Let the good times roll!
something simple, like vodka and coke. it’s a white spirit, so apparently it causes less of a hangover than brandy, dark rums, etc? Not entirely sure, but I’ve heard that.
it’ll also hit you quick, and it won’t be too sweet or make you bloated. and you can alternate between doubles and singles as you need to!
second vote for the long island tea-but drink slowly they are potent
Bull Blasters! Shot of red bull and yegermeister. Could help in getting you going after those fatiguing beers.
Jameson and Red Bull
