she went into the hospitol with bruised and swollen feet. the doctors at first (of course) thought she was abused. but tested for allergies, diabetes and other things. on day 2 they rulled out abuse because while in their care her arms and legs began to swell and bruise and now on day 3 her neck and face. they ruled out allergies and diabetes.
they thought it could be HSP…but have ruled that out as well. she seems to be in so much pain and they keep taking blood (which hurts her) and taking different test after different test. they can not find anything wrong. except that she is bruising and swelling in front of their eyes.
please if you have heard or seen anything like this before explain.
her circulation seems fine…..it’s a mystery right now.

she has a twin brother who is healthy. he can not go to the hospitol to be with her due to it being rsv season. both babies obviously miss the other.

I keep reading that caffeine lowers insulin sensitivity and is therefore more likely to elevate your blood sugar. I am experiencing the opposite effect.
I’m only on Metformin and my after-meal numbers go from the mid-80s to the mid-70s on a very good day. (I eat very low carb to accomplish this.) When I drink coffee with caffeine with a meal, though, I can drop as low as the 60s. I’m not scared about hypoglycemia, but I’m just curious if anyone else has this happen to them.
