My aunt took her blood sugar a couple weeks back and it was 300. Due to having a baby i forgot about it and she has seemed to be ok. The only symptom she has is excessive thirst. Today i gave her oatmeal and juice for breakfast. She only had a couple bites of her oatmeal but of course guzzled down her juice. 2 hours later i tested her and it came back at 170. I’ll try to monitor her tomorrow but are these readings normal for a toddler? What should her sugars be for her age?
i tested 2hrs after like your suppose to. I will test first thing tomorrow but i need to know what levels im looking for.
for your information i dismissed it because my aunt told me the reading was done RIGHT after she ate. So out of curiousity i checked it again today. And have you ever had a baby, expecially a c-section where your completly sleep deprived and cant walk? Utter exaustion takes over you. Plus i am calling the dr first thing in the morning. I asked for sugar level information not to be bashed as a bad parent. Report me if you want but screw you!!!

I know that most diabetics aren’t violent or abusive, but a friend of mine who was abused by her mother would sometimes blame her mother’s emotional instability on her diabetes. Can diabetes actually lead to violent mood swings in some people?
